locker room.

This room some say is the armpit of the public building where the youth roam. It holds both victory and defeat and also the morbid stench that creeps up your nose and lets you know within a radius of five feet to its nearby doors when you are closing in on its chamber. The cold blue tiles are often littered with socks and the locker doors swing open and shut with loud bangs and some squeak as their users opens and closes them. The athletes create game plans and schemes within this cave; they have grown used to the atmosphere, enough to make it a safe haven. At times the showers steam the room and coaches are herding students in and out but the asphalt bench formations aren’t rather comfortable to lounge in so this becomes an easy task. This one place is unique in its use, it is the locker room.

concert.

The huge mass of human bodies sweating in anticipation becoming a unified roar when the stage lights dim and they know that that instant was the bands queue to present themselves on stage to show and them and explode their melodies into their eardrums. Whenever the band plays and strums their fan’s favorite tune everyone vocalizes together as one cohesive unit and as they sing they are in the moment and glad to see the band that they listen to from within their portable music players in the comfort of their own homes and now it’s not a plastic disc that they can see and hear it is now a living breathing band that is playing for them, to them, and harmonizing and playing their hearts out accompanied by a set of planned lights and an elevated ground from which to project their sound on you, the listener, at their concert.

waterfall.

The trickling of the silver and sapphire blue aqua stream flows from the rocky mud brown edge and pours out into the basin of the feet of a crag. Only the fish below appreciate the smooth scent that comes from its source far upstream on the crystalline ice sculptures on top of the rock. The occasional orange and faded green leaf will dance across the top of the water on the peak and will ride down the flow of water like a raft and then when it reaches the edge of the top tier it will gracefully fall from side to side and then land with a cushioned fall by the surprisingly serene bottom of the falls and float on to the bottom of who knows where and then it will become a traveler of the fall that was a part of a larger network of life, water, and elevation; the water falls.

...turning the music down...

i love music so much that sometimes i just have to feel it. i know people don't appreciate it but sometimes the high volume helps u feel and be a part of the music. when people listen to music i
don't enjoy, i obviously don't want to hear theirs blaring; so often i find its hard to pick music most people will like, some people are real picky. many times i enjoy music for its instrumental value, beat, and uniqueness, at different times i will listen to music for its vocals and lyrical content. the volume and genre i listen to will most likely be dependent on my mood and my present feelings. music helps us deal with conflict and to reflect, it helps us to clear our conscience, and to feel most normal again. if there is no such thing as true normalcy at least you'll be close while listening to the melodies most pleasing to your own ear.

lifeblurb 1

life definately doesn't consist of complete and utter fairness or total and complete equality. not everyone is a winner, but certainly not everyone is a loser. some say life doesn't include enough second chances; i just think people don't always choose wisely all the time. i think the people who really need second chances end up getting them. no one knows for sure what will happen in the near future or how promising or prolonged our life will become. its hard to believe people get what they deserve and that everywhere no matter what the circumstance justice is served and karma comes around. for the few and far between who are truly humble not every small thing will bother. too many people ant see past monetary value and tangible objects; life and its value shouldt be measured by a power struggle or a concentration on currency. life is something to be cherished and epescially because it doesnt last for ever; what a better reason to embrace it.

beachcomb

when i stepped out on the soft silky earth it felt warm and it contoured around my feet and toes. every time i walked across the fluffy ground i could feel my self sink and make a divot. i knew this part of the ground was a vast sandbox of soft ground waiting for me to create a path among it. when i walked further and further the breeze that was flowing across my face grew stronger and more and more moist and humid. the slightly salty and crisp air was flowing in my nose and i knew i was getting closer. as i got nearer to the roaring sea i felt the sand get more and more firm and growing more gritty with clumps and patches of shells of varying shapes in a wet mixture; the shells felt smooth and some felt sharp. once i felt ocean water seep up beneath my each and every step i knew i was growing nearer and nearer to the great body of water. once i reached what i thought was the start of the ocean the water flowed back and forth over my toes and shells and seaweed washed upon my feet. i reached down and picked up some of the silt and felt the grit and the water run through my fingertips and i knew exactly where i was and i didn't need to see it. the smell of the shells and nearby fishing port and salty air coupled with the sand and water and sea oats in a composite for me to comb and walk amongst. life from the ocean, i know because i can feel it and detect its scent.
